How do you tell the difference between toddlers and adults?

Our AI engine uses a combination of advanced metrics to divide all person detections into adults or toddlers, but this detection is currently in “beta” mode.

With security and reliability being the primary objectives of the system, our first priority was to gear the algorithms to ensure that all people detection was robust. As a secondary priority, we have started to distinguish between adults and toddlers and we are continuously improving this differentiation.

That said, because this detection is so critical, we are debuting toddler detection in an open beta while we improve the accuracy.

No matter what, please do not rely on the toddler detection alone for the safety of your toddler around your pool.  Any safety mechanism can fail, and it’s up to all of us to keep vigilant even with strong safety systems such as CamerEye.
