How do I turn off distress notifications?
In CamerEye, Distress notifications are distinct.
General notifications are those that you receive for people, toddlers and pets as well as Pool Pro and Toddler candidates. You also may get notifications if your system is offline.
Distress notifications, on the other hand, are the key safety feature of CameraEye and the most obvious way for CamerEye to let you know when you may have a potential drowning event. Unlike notifications for all other events, a Distress event will trigger your siren to sound loudly. A Distress event will also send your phone a notification. A Distress event will also trigger the distress phone calling function if you have added friends and phone numbers.
To customize your notifications experience, click the menu in the top left of your CamerEye app and then click settings. Here you will find the various alerts and how to turn on, off or snooze. For more information, please click here.
You are unable to turn off the siren for Distress Events on your CamerEye system, but you can turn off the phone notifications triggered by Distress Events. To do this, open the app and click on the menu in the top left and then click on settings. Here you are also able to mute Distress Events that are received via alerts on your phone for 1 hour or 1 day. Use this function if you plan to use the pool but only if the pool is going to be well supervised.
Again, you are not able to mute the siren as this is a key safety feature of your system and what makes the system ASTM approved. You are also not able to mute the distress phone calling function.
